Completing the ‘World’ trilogy of releases, ‘This World Is Lost EP’ is the eighth release on Codename: RCRDS, the new label from Southampton-based jungle, 160 and atmospheric crew Codename: Amen. The release and label channel the energy of the 90’s rave era, pushing the sound forward into exciting new directions for 2023.

The unique Cold Leader returns to the label with the bouncy ‘Universal Rules’, an instant dancefloor classic which has been on heavy rotation at Codename: Amen events for several months now. Things shift in a darker direction with Code Of Silence’s ‘High Riser’, where driving beats meet eerie pads, stabs and drones for an awesome slice of ’93 influenced darkcore.

Rising talent Worsleyy keeps us firmly in breakbeat hardcore territory with ‘Sandy Rain’, reaching a crescendo at the mid point with atmospheric pads before dropping back into tearing breaks and bell tones. The EP closes with another fast rising new star of the scene, Arkyn, who contributes the Jungle Techno stomper ‘Lost City’, switching brilliantly between deeper reflective moments and all-out amen assaults.
